We launched Kartel's strategy and studio platform.

I built the website, the demo videos, the onboarding flows and the case studies, and ran paid media, influencer partnerships, email and LinkedIn ads. The launch brought in ~$1M of inbound pipeline, including Omnicom and Publicis, and the site's booking flow alone booked 10 inbound deals in September.

Kartel: better concepts from better inputs
The marketing platform built on the behavioral data of 30 million Americans.
Emmet Reilly@emmetkreilly· Oct 2025

Personal news: after four years at Disney, I'm joining Kartel AI as Head of GTM, the first non-founder revenue hire.

Kartel started as one of the first AI production companies. It made the first AI show on national television, with Fox on The Masked Singer, then brought that production technology inside brands like Newell.

Now it's the first marketing platform to combine the proprietary behavioral data of 30 million Americans with leading generative models. It's seed-stage, with $5.5M in backing and a strategic partnership with Horizon Media.

Designed a multi-agent system with our CTO that runs Kartel's sales operations end to end. It:

  • enriches leads
  • preps reps before calls
  • scores calls against the playbook
  • updates deals and drafts follow-ups and outbound
  • generates proposals and order forms
  • briefs leadership every week

Sales ops went from 25 hours a week to minutes. I made a video walking through how it works:

Newell Brands signed a pilot with Kartel, four months after our first meeting. It was Kartel's first enterprise software pilot, and I was the customer success manager across the account: Contigo, Coleman and Bubba.

The pilot delivered 1,180 assets and cut creative turnaround from 24.8 to 13.2 business days.

When we hit a product-accuracy gap, I worked with our engineering team on a custom workflow that cut fix time by 95%.

What the Newell pilot delivered: 48,000+ images generated, 4.3x more assets a month, 47% faster, revisions cut from 7 to 3

Kartel's first enterprise contracts:

  • Newell Brands (Sharpie, Rubbermaid, Yankee Candle)
  • Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board
  • Prestige Consumer Healthcare (DenTek, Fleet): a three-brand pilot via Horizon Media

I ran every deal from first touch to onboarding. In all, I've managed 350+ enterprise deals with Fortune 500 companies and generated $2.8M in pipeline.

Set Kartel's pricing: two tiers, a trial and a founding-customer tier.

Also started Qualified Founders, a grant program modeled on ElevenLabs Grants that trades credits for testimonials and case studies.

Between Disney and Kartel, I took on a contract growth consulting project for A Vinyl Bar in Shibuya, a music software label started by Spotify's former Head of Innovation. They make playful tools that let fans listen, make and remix music.

I mapped the competitive landscape, wrote the UGC growth strategy and built the distribution roadmap for TikTok, Reels and Shorts.

Hired full-time as the first program management hire on BAMTech's media engineering team, through the launch of Disney+, the Disney+ ad tier and Hulu's merger into Disney+.

BAMTech started as Major League Baseball's streaming tech company and powered HBO Now, the NHL and WWE Network before Disney bought it and made it the engine behind Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+.

Media engineering built the entire backend that Disney+, Star+ and Hulu run on. Every title arrives from the studios as a master file; the team ingests it, transcodes it into every format and quality level a TV or phone might need (H.264, HEVC, HLS, DASH), maps it to the CDNs that deliver it, and creates the streams that send it over the internet.

I was a technical project manager embedded with the engineering teams in Media Orchestration: running discovery and solution framing, aligning engineers on architecture and development approach, and driving delivery for ad insertion, ingest and playback.

Disney was growing fast and bringing acquired brands like FX, Nat Geo and Freeform onto its streaming platform.

I built the program management frameworks and led the agile transformation across those teams: shared processes for coordinating across teams, and executive reporting for programs of 40+ people.

Disney+ Basic is live, which means ads are on Disney+ now.

I led engineering delivery for the ad tier across 100+ advertising partners and shipped the ad insertion technology behind it, on a timeline Disney had promised Wall Street.

To launch it, we had to break apart every asset in the Disney+ catalog and build the technology that dynamically serves an ad at a specific timecode in each title. That meant keeping product, engineering, content studios and operations moving together toward one launch date.

Hulu is on Disney+. I managed the content integration: we built an inventory system that let us repush thousands of legacy Hulu titles, more than 100,000 assets, through our ingest system into Disney+, with no downtime on a platform serving hundreds of millions of subscribers.

I also helped unify ESPN's content pipeline with the rest of the platform to cut operating costs, managing the technical dependencies across internal and external teams.

Summer at Activist Artist Management, the firm behind Dead & Company, Bob Weir and Empire of the Sun. I worked on client experiences and events.

I pitched a podcast concept to strengthen client relationships, and it led to a new podcast division at Activist.

I also ran backstage logistics and VIP experiences at shows, including Dead & Company at the Hollywood Bowl.

Co-founded Inserve before college and kept building it through my freshman year at Cornell: a platform that connects students to volunteering they actually care about, with nonprofit discovery, group events and location-based hour tracking.

We raised a strategic investment from Life Changing Labs, the nonprofit accelerator for Cornell student founders, grew to 2,500+ students through university partnerships, and pitched Sequoia Capital and 1517 Fund.
